    Superb

I enjoyed the friendliness of the owners and they went through effort to make you feel happy and comfortable.

    Exceptional

Hotel Emeraude exceeded my expectations on all levels. It is a cute little hotel, situated in a quiet backstreet, providing comfort on all levels. The Scottish twin brothers that runs it are laid back, but at the same time service minded and provided us with all the information we needed, i.e. restaurant recommendations, information on bike rentals and so forth. Furthermore, they upgraded us to the master bedroom on the top floor, which was the nicest hotel room I have ever stayed in. With its central location, its beautiful flower garden, in combination with its quiet location and friendly staff, Hotel Emeraude is certainly worth a stay!

    Friendly family run hotel.

Initial room was very small - very little soundproofing so very noisy. Although the rooms have TV;s none of them work. Lightbulbs were missing, the fridge door fell off when you opened it - a generally uncared for hotel. The greenery outside the window had grown up so much you could not open the window properly!

    Very good

the location, the value for money, the beautiful garden

few details: the shutters did not close well so the light comes in, the bar has no wine, there are few seats on the room terrace

    Fabulous

Nice people, quite laid back but precise still. Warm people without familiarity, easy to talk to without being distant, perfect balance.

    Superb

The first thing I noticed was that it's a very homely place to stay

The receptionists are approachable and very friendly

    Very good

Very casual, homely feel. They gave me a fantastic room with it's own terrace.

Maybe a bit too casual. When I walked in to check-in, the person in charge was sitting in front of the TV watching football and eating his lunch. He gave me a key but didn't show me my room or offer to help with the luggage. He also gave me the wrong code for after hours access to the building (which I found out the hard way at 5 am, when I had to go to the neighbouring hotel to tell them to phone him, wake him up to let me in). He did apologise profusely for this mistake though.

    Fabulous

The hotel has really great location: near both beach and city centre. The building itself is quite a nice old house. The hotel staff is friendly enough.

Most did not like the presence of ants in the room. I would have appreciated the availability of facilities for making tea or coffee in the room.

    Good

Quaint hotel with steep steps. Friendly staff. Had the 4- bedroom room for three of us as other full. Spacious- on 2 levels and a door to an outside area with sunloungers -Good but needed a sweep. Good location for shops, beach, restaurants and about 15 minute walk to station with suitcases.

no breakfast when it rained!! Neither of bedside lights worked but were sorted out when reported.

verry small rooms and bed not long enough

    Exceptional

We liked it's completely relaxed atmosphere. The boys could not have made us more welcome and as we were part of a party going to a wedding, us being the oldies, the remainder the young, it was like staying with friends and being in a private house. Brilliant.

    Superb

The hotel is owned by two twin brothers, Michael and Andy. They are great fun. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere. A lovely little courtyard outside. Don,t expect 5 star luxury. But you will get 5 star hospitality.

Steep steps to rooms, and tiny lift. Could also do with a lick of paint. Other than that no problem.

Great location! less than 5 minute walk to the beach and 5 minute to the downtown. Staff very friendly and helpful!
